It appears that CNN's John Roberts works for Alqueda. On this mornings show he detailed a floor plan of the WHite House offices and gave the names of those that occupied each office. It seems that news officials are more than willing to share what I consider to be priviledged information to the entire world. You would think that the journalist of America would see the need to not parade all of the information they get on public television. John talks about his journalistic integrity with Joe the Plumber. When in reality he has none. With news journalist like John Roberts it's all about ratings and how much more salary he can get with those ratings. These people are willing to bring into our homes on public television any piece of information that they think will keep their advertisers paying for air time. Which brings me to another point - air time. You can't watch any television show without being bombarded by hundreds of commercials. I think that today; for every hour of programming; you get 15 minutes of commercials. I know that on cable there are times when I can flip through every channel and get nothing but commercials. Most of these commercials are touting something that they feel we just can't live without or that if we don't have it we are missing something important in our lives. The fact is that most of the products wouldn't live up to the expectation that they would have us believe. Then there is the sound problem. Has anyone but me noticed the fact that the sound levels are raised when the commercials come on. I complained to the FCC about this; but they said there was nothing they could do. When in fact there is a law in Australia that requires the sound levels of commercials be kept no higher than that of the current show you are watching. Seems to work there; amazing that it can't be done here. Oh I know - it must that guy - you know the chairman of the FCC - the one that told congress he wasn't or wouldn't do something that they asked him to do. I want to know who he works for. If anyone out there knows - pass it on.
This brings us to the real problem about cable/television; the high amount of filth and immoral TV shows they bring us - all in the name of free speech. America has been demoralized by the FCC, Television Moguls and cable. If Americans don't speak up and demand a change in policy about what can be shown on our TV's then the demoralization will continue until we don't have any at all. Televsions tells us that it is okay to be gay, that it is okay to have multiple sex partners, that it is okay for single woman to have children. I don't know how many times that I have heard the phrase "I'm a single mother". Like that is supposed to bring about some kind of sympathy or understanding from the rest of us. Don't get me wrong - there are cases where the woman was married to a dead beat man or was in an abusive relationship. But I'm talking about the ones who were never married, who have children by multiple fathers or are crack heads who got pregnant looking for a fix. Come on America - how long do you want to continually pay for the bad choices of others. You wonder why health care costs are so high. It's so these woman can continually have children without the means to pay for them. It's so young woman can shack up with guys who couldn't keep a job for more than a month. Unitl we stop the proliferation of children by woman who don't give a damn about who pays for it - we will always have high health care costs. Our country is based on so many good intentions but has failed so miserably in predicting their outcome. Please write or email your complaints about sound levels, immoral programming and the deluge of commercials to the FCC. Lets bog down the FCC's email service until it fails.
